We’re excited to see Railyards Boulevard begin to take shape! The next time you’re driving along the I-5 freeway be sure to take a look at the changing landscape at The Railyards.
 Construction Update
Crews have completed rehab grading along Railyards Boulevard from Bercut Drive to 7th Street. This work is the first phase in completing roadway projects that include Railyards Boulevard, Fifth Street, Sixth Street, two bridges and viaducts on Fifth and Sixth Streets opening arterial access to The Railyards.
 Aditional work required by the design team is in progress. This includes the current placement of surcharge piles in the footprint of bridge foundations on Fifth Street to investigate settlement (Sixth Street will be upcoming), the driving of indicator piles as a test to evaluate depth and type of future piles, and the evaluation of the Rapid Impact Compaction on existing project soils.
Proposition 1C Round 2
We expect to receive word from the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) within the next couple of weeks about the status of our applications in Round 2 of the HCD Infill Infrastructure Grant and TOD Housing Programs. HCD award hearings are set for the end of June. We’ll keep you posted on the outcome.

• We presented a Railyards project update at an Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) meeting on May 20, 2009.
• We updated the Old Sacramento Business Association (OSBA) Board of Directors on the status of the project at their board meeting on May 28, 2009.
• We attended their celebration and extend our hearty congratulations to our friends at Township 9 in the River District who broke ground on their terrific project on June 11, 2009!
• We attended their grand opening and extend our congratulations to our friend, Cyrus Youssefi, and his partners, the City of West Sacramento and John Cicerone, on the opening of their great project Courtyard Village in West Sacramento on June 11, 2009!
• We participated in a panel discussion at Regional Issues Day for Leadership Sacramento: State of Regional Stimulus Package of Civic Infrastructure on June 11, 2009.
