Street Parking Garage
The City of Sacramento has withdrawn its RFQ for the Railyards 5th
Street Parking Garage. The City is committed to completion of the
project and will continue to investigate options to pursue the project
some time in the future.

Pavement Demolition, Utility Demolition, and Grading Work on 5th Street as Part of the "5th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street Tunnel, and Railyards Boulevard Project"
S. Thomas Enterprises of Sacramento, LLC is announcing their acceptance of sealed bids for pavement demolition, utility demolition, and grading work on the 5th Street extension as part of the “5th Street, 6th Street, and Railyards Boulevard Project”. A pre-bid site walk will be held on February 1, 2010, at 2:00 pm onsite at the Jibboom Street security gate. All bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid site walk. Bids are due on or before, February 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm, at which time bids will be opened. Sealed bids shall be submitted by mail or in person to:

The City of Sacramento and Thomas Enterprises, Inc. have issued a Request for Proposals for Construction Management Services for Track Relocation Project, 5th Street Bridge, Roadway, Retaining Walls and Viaduct, 6th Street Bridge and Railyards Boulevard. There will be a Pre-Proposal meeting on February 18, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Sacramento Valley Depot, Room 1 (located at 5th and I Streets). Attendance at this meeting is highly recommended, but not required.

Construction time: One Hundred-Ninety (190) Working days
Liquidated damages: $5,400.00 per working day.
There will be a substantial completion date by December 20th , 2010 with a Liquidated Damage of $200K if this is not met. The regular liquidated damages of $5,400 apply after the 190 working days.

The City of Sacramento and S. Thomas Enterprises of Sacramento, LLC have issued an invitation to bid on the region’s marquee project, the Track Relocation Project.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 9, 2010 at 9:30 A.M. at the Depot Meeting Room, 401 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. (The room is located in the station immediately to the west of the passenger waiting room). Attendance at this meeting is highly encouraged, but is not mandatory.

The project consists, in general, of relocating approximately 2.3 track miles of heavy rail, constructing passenger tracks and platforms, passenger tunnel, pedestrian tunnel, service tunnel, utility modifications, new utilities (which includes a new 42-inch water main) and providing pedestrian access from the existing depot building to the new platforms within the Sacramento Valley Station.
The project includes phased construction and requires coordination with other contracts. This project is fully or partially funded through a grant from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). As such, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) project participation requirements will apply. Successful bidders must either meet the required 17.2%. Underutilized DBE (UDBE) project participation requirement or must demonstrate Good Faith Effort (GFE) in outreaching to certified UDBE firms to participate as subcontractors on this project. Failure to meet the UDBE project participation requirement or demonstrate GFE will result in the proposal being declared not responsive.
